Renewed partnership with Kiva, the world’s first and largest crowdfunding platform for social good
Travel Insurance provider battleface, today announced its continued commitment for social change through a renewed loan matching partnership with Kiva, an international not for profit that facilitates crowdfunded loans for people underserved by financial institutions. Earlier in 2019, battleface began its partnership with Kiva by issuing $25 loans for each review on Trustpilot, whether positive or negative. Following the success of the initial project, battleface has now entered into a new partnership by committing $10,000 to continue to help communities gain the financial access they require to start or grow a business.
Through Kiva’s work, students can pay for tuition, women can start businesses, farmers are able to invest in equipment and families can afford much needed emergency care. In the 15 years since its launch, Kiva has catalysed an ecosystem of support, lending more than US$1.45 billion dollars to over 3.6 million entrepreneurs, 80% of whom are female in 77 countries around the world. All of Kiva loans are crowdsourced and provided at a 0% interest rate with no fees.
battleface’s team believes that everyone should be able to participate and thrive in global and local economies. Through Kiva, battleface will continue to sponsor entrepreneurs worldwide in an effort to build a financially inclusive world.
